Brown Deer Technology (BDT) is seeking candidates for the full-time position of computer hardware engineer to support the development of a family of RISC-V Digital Signal Processors (DSPs).
BDT provides products and engineering services for high-performance and accelerated computing applications to government and commercial customers. With substantial investments in the development of software and hardware capabilities, BDT provides clients with solutions for leveraging the latest computational technologies. Recent areas of research and development include the development of generally-specialized RISC-V processors and co-processors for specialized applications including signal processing, artificial intelligence, and edge computing.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the ongoing design of RISC-V DSPs including the design and optimization of modular architecture components, refinement and documentation of custom Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) specifications, development of micro-tests for functional and performance evaluation of custom compute cores, and the development of reference documentation and programming guides for RISC-V DSPs.
For this position, US citizenship is required in order to comply with law, regulation, and executive order and is required by Federal government contracts.
