Brown Deer Technology (BDT) invests in technologies to meet future needs for national defense and address gaps in capabilities of legacy defense contractors. The need for greater innovation and modernization in future acquisition strategies will require new innovations to replace spending as a force multiplier. BDT is developing a foundation of modular electronic and system components to enable rapid concept-to-production capabilities within resource-constrained environments. Developing next-generation weapon systems require next-generation defense contractors. This is the focus of BDT Defense engineering.
BDT is leveraging our innovative open-hardware architectures and modular reconfigurable design workflows to develop electronic processing and control capabilities for future weapon systems. We apply these technologies to develop optionally crewed and fully autonomous ground and air vehicles with a driving focus on next-generation weapons systems in a resource-constrained environment. We are developing the rapid prototyping and transitioning capabilities for industrial autonomous systems with integrated AI-assisted sensing that will be needed to keep pace in next-generation weapon systems deployment against fast-advancing adversaries.
BDT is developing technology for ultra-low latency sensing and edge computation within strict space, weight and power constraints. Potential applications include target tracking and fire control systems, and RF spectrum sensing, mapping, and targeting solutions. Our innovative approach in research and development provides the foundation for ongoing efforts in unconventional weapon systems design. These ongoing efforts are focused on driving disruptive technologies into future weapon systems for the defense of our nation.
